"I come from proud a family that has been involved with public service for as long as I can remember. I want to work for you. We need to create more living wage jobs, improve our schools, and make public safety - especially getting guns off the streets, a top priority. With nearly a decade of government experience, I know what it takes to find solutions, navigate the complicated governmental agencies, and get things done."

Paul Seger for Diablo Water District;
Water is life
Having grown up surfing and water skiing in California and Mexico; I fell in love with water… respecting water and it’s sources.
We get most of our water from the Delta so any impacts to that water source is an attack on our community and our health… physically and economically. I WILL FIGHT AGAINST THE DELTA TUNNELS PROJECT.
When elected I promise to work for Clean, Healthy and Reliable water for ALL. Diablo Water should fight for clean and equitable water for all area residents whether well water or tapped into the grid; those using well water should not be adversely impacted by municipal development.
I will fight to keep rates affordable… extra production costs should be passed on to new developments.

Our Revolution Contra Costa at Pete's Restaurant & Brewhouse ~ Antioch

Our town lies on the Delta. We are one of the fastest growing communities in the nation. It's clear that there is a symbiotic relationship between the health of the Delta [water flows, saline intrusion] and the local aquifer [groundwater, wells]. Locals near developments being built in Oakley are experiencing more instances of brackish and unacceptable water. This is unacceptable.

Diablo Water District should be the model of modern water districts
I will work to build the DWD into a sustainable water district; one that delivers the cleanest, healthiest potable water at reasonable rates. We must invest in cutting edge solutions for water storage, treatment and water delivery. We need to work smarter and harder to entice residents to use water conservation and to diversify our workforce in the field.
I use the influence of the DWD Director position to fight the Delta Tunnels and other state projects to steal water. We must restore river flows to more natural rates. I'll work for smarter solutions to our state's water issues from the north to the south.

It's official; Paul is running for our local water district!
As a member of the Water Board I will assure that DWD ratepayers are kept up-to-date on the economic benefits of getting water from “our own” groundwater sources [wells, as

opposed to purchasing from CCWD] and are “well-versed” on the health of our local aquifers, water-tables and state of the water as it comes from the wells.
I will work tirelessly to make the environment and water as regular a kitchen-table conversation as growth and economics.
